WordpressAlmost every popular weblog application, TextPattern, Movable Type, Drupal etc, has a number of plugins and addons to provide a photo gallery capability to the basic blog posting services. Many are little more than solutions to make uploading and publishing of photos to your blog web space easier…

Falbum is the nearest I have come so far to my ideal photo gallery plugin. As a regular user of Flickr I have long wished for a solution that would allow me to publish my galleries directly from Flickr without having to manually publish each individual image, and Falbum does just that.

It is actually ludicrously simple to install and configure this plugin to publish your entire Flickr photo gallery directly within your web log. All that is needed is to authorise the plugin against your Flickr account, then setup the options for display of the attributes such as EXIF data, photo sizes etc within the Falbum Options. Once done your gallery is instantly available and all that is needed is a link to point to either the friendly url ( /photo/ ) or is mod rewrite is not an option for you the normal url :-

( /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php ) and there you have it.
