A few days ago Microsoft took the step of releasing Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2 for public download. If you don’t have broadband then you probably won’t want to download it, and if you also don’t want to part with the six or so quid ( UK Pounds ) for the DVD to be posted to you then you might want to get it through the latest alternative route, magazine cover disk !

PCPro magazine ( and I’m sure most others ) have this month included an Office 2007 Beta cover disk, which at £3.99 list ( less if you subscribe ) is probably the quickest and cheapest alternative way of getting hold of this software.

Bear in mind this is still Beta software and should only be used for testing, no support is offered by Microsoft to public Beta testers.
