It seems the stream of positive reviews of Apples latest addition the MacBook is set to continue for a while yet, despite initial rumours of early teething problems with overheating and discolouration.
In this review on BBC News Alfred Hamida follows suit and suggests that the big names in the PC world such as HP, Dell and IBM may have their work cut out for them coming up with a real competitor.
I have to say that I very nearly went for a MacBook Pro before upgrading my G5 iMac to a new 20″ Intel iMac, and although I do sometimes think it would be nice ( if only for pose value ) to be able to take my Mac with me to friends and relatives, I am still more than happy with the iMac. I have bought Parallels for running Windows 2000/XP ( for odd apps/testing ) and have found this is an unbeatable solution. My desk that once had a selection of battered old beige cases lurking above and below it now has just one beautiful sleak white screen that serves the same purpose !
If you have yet to consider a Mac as your next PC upgrade, seriously now is the time ! You won’t regret it….
