Working at the chalk face in a large UK acute Hospital we face many challenges in controlling users access to the Internet and in particular limiting inappropriate access. At SWBH we have for a long time relied on Websense to police our users and control their surfing habits.
It was with interest therefore that I read that the Connecting For Health team who are responsible for N3, the NHS broadband network, have put in place measures to ensure that Trusts who are not as vigilant do not impact on others during the World Cup weeks by filtering popular streaming media sites such as BBC and TalkSport.
See this article on the Connecting For Health web site for further details.
