I am not sure if this is a problem with me or not, but I have noticed a strange performance issue with new Digg when viewed in Safari.
I have a new 2Ghz Intel iMac with 1Gb RAM yet when scrolling through a list of results returned by the Digg search it is hardly bearable… ! The page lurches up and down as you try to scroll like it is stuck in treacle.
I have tried the exact same search in Camino and Flock and the returned page scrolls as smoothly as any other ?
Can anyone out there in Digg Land explain what is going on for me please ?
To try this for yourself just go to http://digg.com, type in a search string in the box at the top right, say iPod for example. When the search results are returned try scrolling up and down and see if your browser goes all “sticky” !

3I experience the exact same problem on my PowerBook with Digg V3 in Safari too (while it’s fine in Camino).

6Yeah, Digg V3 is just tragically slow in Safari, and joins AVIS.COM as web-sites that are effectively unusable in Safari.
Someone needs to tell Apple.
