Connected Flow
has just released an update to the iPhoto plugin for uploading photos direct to Flickr.com
. Version 2.0.1 of FlickrExport addresses a number of issues caused as a result of API changes on the Flickr site, it also introduces a possible shock to users like myself who were using an older version of the plugin, the software is now Shareware…
To licence the plugin costs £12GBP and entitles you to free upgrades for version 2 of the software.
I have just tested the plugin using the Use Unlicenced option and there appears that some of the functionality is disabled until you pay for the software. Selecting tags or changing the description of photos prior to uploading does not work as expected, uploaded images are tagged with the value flickrexport2demo and have the description :-
Uploaded with a demo version of FlickrExport 2.
There also appears to be a problem when the export has completed, normally the export then launches into Flickr and displays the photos ready for you to either accept as is or to change/modify the descriptions etc. Now I am getting the following error displayed instead :-
Flickr API: Page not found
If you were looking for a page on flickr.com, try this link.
If you were looking for API endpoints, try:
* http://api.flickr.com/services/rest/
* http://api.flickr.com/services/soap/
* http://api.flickr.com/services/xmlrpc/
* http://api.flickr.com/services/upload/
* http://api.flickr.com/services/replace/If you were looking for API documentation, please see here
If you were looking for feed documentation,
Clicking on the “try this link” option appears to work ok and the photos are then correctly displayed so I am not sure what is going on here. Until I find a solution to this I am a little hesitant to part with 12 quid for this plugin !
Anyone know what is going on ?

Hi Scott,
Yes, this is a bug in FlickrExport. If you change “api.flickr.com”
to “www.flickr.com” in the final URL, it works. Some overnight changes to Flickr, which broke v2.0, required that 2.0.1 be released in rather a hurry. I’ll be releasing v2.0.2 in the next day or so to correct this.
Best,
Fraser
